Colin established Senate (Mech) in 2002 alongside Peter Rigby and John Rigby, steadily increasing annual turnover for the business to over £6 million in 2016.
Colin served his time as an apprentice heating and ventilation engineer, working up through foreman and supervisor, before returning to college to complete his ONC and HNC in building services engineering.
During his career he has developed an appreciation of public and private sector clients, leading to long-term relationships with many of Senate Group’s blue-chip customers, culminating in a high percentage of repeat business.
He has overall responsibility for Senate operations and co-ordination of building services installations including tendering, design, contract and cost control.
Colin is a member of CIBSE, and is proud of watching apprentices come through the ranks of Senate Group, playing an important role in it’s future.
Kiera has over 10 years of experience in delivering large scale refurbishment contracts, having previously worked at senior management level for a number of public and private sector businesses. Having an understanding of delivering these projects, and her experience of managing tight budget and programmes, means that Kiera always makes considered decisions in terms of best value and methods of working.
Prior to this, Kiera was a scholar athlete and carried out her University studies in the USA. This experience provided Kiera with drive and self-motivation which she has applied to her roles within the Construction Industry.
Her enthusiasm and project management skills is instilled within Senate Group’s core values and her site team.
Having served his time to an approved electrician standard, Peter specialised in maintenance and fault finding on heating systems.
Peter still keeps a hands-on approach holding a variety of gas qualifications, meaning that he is able to advise his maintenance engineers proactively.
He is particularly proud of having his favourite football club as one of his customers.
His client liaison skills have resulted in Senate Group taking many of its installation projects through to long-term maintenance.
